Doctor Jake This band smokes hot FIRE! Their Afrobeat always reminds me of Fela Kuti. They are a powerful band of well-accomplished musicians who lay down the Afro-groove unlike any other!! Favorite track: Sweet Tooth.

Bart Furp Yet another example of interesting album-cover artwork forcing me to listen to a band I'd never heard of, and being knocked out by the sounds therein. Gotta mention Vinny Naro as the cover artist, just because.

I spent my New Year's hangover listening to "Sky Mall" on repeat, when I discovered my new favorite bass player. "Fugue State" is what you get if the Muscle Shoals musicians took a break to noodle around on Bach and eventually became my wake-up alarm. "First Place" reminds me of that scene in "Clerks" where Randal walks into the adult video store. t0cktock
